About Densmore Furn. & Appl., Inc. In 1938 as the nation struggled out of the Great Depression a young man in Ball Ground, Georgia saw a business opportunity and opened a small RCA radio shop on Main Street. That young man was Glenn Densmore who was 18 years old at the time. After only a couple of years in business, WWII broke out and he closed his shop and answered the nations call by enlisting in the army. After his tour of duty and honorable discharge, he reopened the store and has been in business since that time. It is imperative that any business spanning almost 7 decades be innovative and open to the needs of the people. From its humble beginnings as a radio store, it now encompasses a full line of furniture, accessories, and appliances that is open to anyone's budget. While we strive to meet the needs of our customers, we maintain an open and friendly family business atmosphere that allows people to shop the store at their leisure.
